PLDT once again receives international recognition for its unwavering commitment to network service excellence, gaining top honors at the MEF 2017 Awards. The country’s leading ICT and digital services provider, PLDT was awarded Retail Service Provider of the Year and Wholesale Service Provider of the Year for Asia Pacific, as well as Enterprise Application of the Year.
PLDT was the sole Philippine ICT and digital services provider honored during the annual Awards, which recognizes the best services and technology, professional excellence, leadership, and innovation in the global Carrier Ethernet (CE) community.

The MEF 2017 Awards, held this year as part of the MEF17 conference in Orlando, Florida, is the largest and longest-running Carrier Ethernet event of its kind. It is presented by the non-profit international industry consortium MEF, a global industry alliance with a membership of over 220 companies that includes telecommunications service providers, cable multi system operators (MSOs), network equipment and software manufacturers, semiconductor vendors, and testing organizations.
MEF has helped set Carrier Ethernet standards all over the world, with the annual conference serving as a venue to discuss the latest trends on network-enabled cloud, data, and mobile services powered by the convergence of CE 2.0, software defined networking (SDN), and virtualization technologies.
