PLDT Enterprise, through its micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) arm PLDT SME Nation, continues to expand its efforts to address the emerging challenges that entrepreneurs face in today’s dynamic business landscape.
Following the success of its previously launched Move IT, Build IT event in March, PLDT SME Nation has expanded its campaign to address a wider range of business needs that are penetrating enterprises today.
One of the group’s initiatives, introduced as Move IT, Build IT, Track IT (MIBITI), brought together entrepreneurs and MSME owners for an immersive half-day event. MIBITI aims to create learning opportunities for businessmen and women alike, featuring speakers who tackle significant topics such as growing the customer base, increasing operational efficiency, and securing critical data.
Participants of the activity were first-hand witnesses of PLDT’s Customer Engagement platform to include among others, the Message Cast solution, a web-based messaging service that allows companies to send scheduled SMSs on their latest products, promos, and news to one or multiple recipients across all networks. Together with e-commerce platform and online store builder TackThis!, these available solutions in the market are able to generate faster, easier, and more targeted ways to advertise a business on the mobile platform, enabling maximized reach at minimal cost.
Attendees also had the opportunity to explore new avenues to enhance their operations with PLDT’s Business Efficiency Solution Suite, which included tools such as the Smart StoreManager and Smart Tracker—solutions that utilize easy-to-use web interfaces to monitor inventory and vehicles in real time.
The MIBITI event especially aimed to highlight the most important aspects of a business—data security and resiliency. At the heart of every enterprise in all industries is the data that centralizes operations and keeps the business going. With growing security threats present in cyberspace and in the form of human error or natural calamities, it is essential for a business to keep their data safe and secure. By colocating their data servers to ePLDT’s network of VITRO Data Centers, businesses can save on physical space and focus their time and efforts on their operations instead of worrying about information loss or possible downtime.
“Business security and resiliency is a great concern not only for large corporations, but enterprises of all sizes,” said PLDT FVP and Head of SME Nation Mitch Locsin. “Whether it entails building customer loyalty, monitoring resources, or guarding assets, we at PLDT SME Nation make it our mission to equip MSMEs with the technology to help them address real-life business challenges and drive fearlessness to face these on the road to their success.”
Following the launch of the MIBITI event in Makati City, PLDT SME Nation seeks to further expand learning opportunities for MSMEs through seminars that address industry-specific challenges.
