MSMEs witness the reveal of innovative self-service user-acquisition product at TechIsland 3.0

PLDT SME Nation’s annual tech-for-business conference made waves last April 22 at the Harbor Tent, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, as over 1000 entrepreneurs were in attendance to witness a milestone in PLDT history.

At TechIsland 3.0’s plenary segment, Chief Strategy Officer of PLDT and Talas CEO Winston Damarillo unveiled MarketBuilder, the country’s first ever, innovative, and cost-effective user-acquisition product for businesses to target, reach and acquire customers via their mobile phones.

More than just a campaign management system, MarketBuilder will allow MSMEs to reach out to their customers using dynamic profiling through geo-fencing or location-based marketing. This feature enables entrepreneurs to target a specific group of potential customers depending on their predicted proximity to a store, through a simple and easy-to-use mobile application.

MarketBuilder communicates deals, promos, events, programs, and discounts through email, SMS, and social media integration. It will act as an engine to allow SMEs to directly communicate marketing messages to their target audiences. Additional product benefits include the ability to create brand and product awareness, drive market consumption, and even analyze the effectivity of a mobile campaign.

Damarillo invited TechIsland 3.0 guests to try the solution themselves. Happy Skin’s Jaqce Yuengtian-Gutierrez and Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, Bossing Louie Gutierrez of Silverworks, Raquel Bartolome of the Viking’s Group, and Alma Tiu Go of Tong Yang Group became the pioneer entrepreneurs of MarketBuilder, being the first business owners to demo the real-time mobile campaign experience in the Philippines.

As a treat, 100 MSMEs in the event were given a MarketBuilder deal through a text message that notified them that they would be the first MarketBuilder users in the country.
