In accordance with RA 10644, commonly known as the Go Negosyo Act which seeks to make services available to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) accessible and available, PLDT Smart SME Nation, together with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Rizal, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Taytay, and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Taytay, organized the municipality’s 2nd Business Summit last April 12 at the SM City Taytay Event Center.

Over 400 attendees comprised of both existing and aspiring entrepreneurs gained in-depth insight on how they can effectively run their business with the right tools and the proper mindset. From topics such as marketing trends to look out for, to discussions about how entrepreneurs can efficiently manage their finances, the Taytay Business Summit provided a holistic empowerment of the local business sector.

PLDT Smart SME Nation took part in the enablement of the summit’s MSMEs, touching on areas that focused on innovative marketing and improving operational efficiency with the use of technology tools such as e-commerce website builder TackThis!, and digital payments solution PayMaya.

The long-term collaboration between PLDT Smart SME Nation and DTI seeks to actively provide MSMEs with connectivity, mobility, and online presence, as well as learning experiences such as trainings and specialized tasks to equip entrepreneurs with the resources to reach their existing markets, as well as the global e-commerce community.

More than strongly advocating the DTI’s initiative to provide MSMEs with proper resources, PLDT Smart SME Nation is dedicated in empowering entrepreneurs to take advantage of technology tools that will enable them to take their business to the next level.

With this ongoing partnership with DTI to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among Filipinos as well as the economic progress of the country, PLDT Smart SME Nation continues to enable local entrepreneurs to take advantage of technology tools and make it big in the digital nation.

The establishment of Negosyo Centers is a government program under Section 3 of RA 10644, commonly known as the Go Negosyo Act, which was signed into law in 2014. Dubbed the “one-stop shop” for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Negosyo Center not only handles business registrations and licensing, but can also provide assistance in financing business ideas and forging partnerships with organizations to help enterprises venture forward.
