With the mission to bring community of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) into the digital world, PLDT SME Nation and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) worked together to bring the 6th Eastern Visayas Regional Business Conference (BIZCON).

PCCI Chapter representatives, MSMEs of various sectors, LGU officials, USAID,  NGOs, and government agency partners gathered at the Conference Hall of Palompon Credit Coop Inc. (PACCI) last May 25 for a four-day business conference in Palompon Leyte. With the theme of "Rebuilding Eastern Visayas Through Agro-Tourism Projects In The Country Side," the event aimed to nurture the relationships between MSMEs.

In line with the goal of empowering the MSMEs, over 150 attendees learned about harnessing the power of the internet to strengthen their businesses, as well as the communities involved in the agro-tourism industry. Speaker Amor Maclang of Geisser Maclang emphasizes the importance of branding, partnerships, and synergies to enable success in the growing industry.

The 6th BIZCON unified the various sectors by presenting an engaging forum, led by Atty Roy Field, on how public and private agricultural businesses can make it big. With the growing presence of e-Commerce, the event highlighted the benefits of using technology to innovate their daily operations in order to compete in the digital world.

PLDT SME Nation presented ways to achieve sustainable global competitiveness with the help of technology. By bringing connectivity to several region around the country, PLDT SME Nation enables the growth of MSMEs in the agro-tourism sectors. Through technology, MSMEs have the opportunity to remain competitive in the global markets, equipping them with necessary tools to move forward in the ASEAN integration.
