PLDT Enterprise, through its micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) arm, PLDT SME Nation, and the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Manila chapter signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to signify the continued partnership to empower entrepreneurs and inspire future business leaders of the nation.

The collaboration between PLDT SME Nation and JCI Manila seeks to provide more opportunities for aspiring professionals to develop not only their business, but also positive change within themselves and their communities.

With over 300 active members in the chapter, JCI Manila is the premiere leadership development organization that specializes in creating programs that aim to further develop knowledge on the topics of business, government, education, and charity.

“Our partnership with SME Nation has proved to be very significant for our organization,” expressed 2017 JCI Manila President Niño Namoco. “We’ve effectively engaged our members and enabled them to expand their network to help them grow in their respective industries.”

Following a successful year of synergy between the two organizations, the renewed partnership aims to invigorate the spirit of entrepreneurship through a series of best-practices sharing sessions with established Filipino business owners of all business sizes to address challenges that MSMEs face today.

One of the flagship projects of the collaboration, an annual startup entrepreneurship conference entitled the JCI Manila Entrep Summit, powered by PLDT SME Nation, brings together a few of the most influential industry leaders and individuals in a one-day conference to share their experiences and road to success.

“More than just providing associations like JCI Manila with the technology to support their business growth, we continue to move towards the goal of building a nation that leverages on the power of the talents and skills of the Filipino people,” shared PLDT FVP and Head of SME Nation Mitch Locsin. “By further creating avenues that highlight innovation of our future business leaders, we hope to keep the entrepreneurial spirit alive and thriving for the benefit of our country.”
