Last Friday, March 10 2017, at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, PLDT Enterprise marked a landmark achievement at the recently concluded 52nd Anvil Awards, bagging nine top prizes in recognition of its business communications initiatives.
Under PLDT ALPHA, PLDT Enterprise’s Corporate Business arm, PLDT Enterprise received four Anvil Awards.
The first award given for their 2016-2017 Customer Engagement Campaign, an effort aimed at increasing the brand’s market position, along with customer loyalty. Once more for an audio-visual campaign centering on PLDT ALPHA’s customers, giving firsthand testimonials on how their partnership with PLDT has transformed their operations, and empowered their businesses towards greater success and relevance in this digital age. The next award was given for their “Changing the Way You Do Business” campaign, launched following PLDT and Smart’s rebrand to reflect the thematic tagline “Changing Lives” within the Enterprise space. Finally, PLDT ALPHA received an award for the business lifestyle publication Hot Joe, which is produced entirely by PLDT ALPHA and features its latest partnerships and products, insights from top business and industry leaders and celebrated events.
“It is truly a great honor for PLDT ALPHA to be recognized for our various initiatives to communicate and create stronger connections with our customers,” shared Vice President and head of PLDT ALPHA Vic Tria, who stressed that every PLDT Enterprise campaign is focused on empowering enterprises and enabling competitive businesses.
Meanwhile, PLDT SME Nation—PLDT Enterprise’s Small and Medium Enterprise arm—brought home a haul of five Anvils.
First for BIG Talks, a conference series that provides budding entrepreneurs across the Philippines access to the knowledge and expertise of established business leaders. The second award was for the #BeTheBoss 2016 Awards, a celebration of today’s young Filipino innovators. Third on their list was for the Make it BIG campaign, which showcased the success stories of leading Filipino entrepreneurs. The next award, for the Tech Mobile, a caravan that toured around the Philippines, bringing technology, solutions and digital enablement to micro, small and medium entrepreneurs and finally for Tech Island 3.0, the third instalment of SME Nation’s annual business convention that aims to educate micro, small, and medium enterprises on leveraging business opportunities and facing challenges in the digital age.

With its nine wins, PLDT Enterprise brings PLDT’s total number of Anvil awards received to an impressive 19 – also an all-time high for the telco leader.
First Vice President and Head of PLDT and Smart Enterprise Groups, Jovy Hernandez, further stressed on the importance of the awards to PLDT Enterprise.

The annual Anvil Awards is organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) and celebrates excellence in public relations. The Anvil recognizes outstanding public relations programs and tools, as well as the agencies and companies that have created these commendable programs.
